About
I would like to share my creative journey with you. I have been an avid thrift store shopper for about 20 years. Ever since I was a little girl, I would rearranged my room almost every weekend with my sister. My Mom had an eye for decorating and sewed all of my curtains and bedspreads. I found such a pleasant reward after cleaning, organizing and rearranging my space. I have always been sensitive to my environment and I guess you could say that I have been honing my design and decorating skills since I was a little girl in the 70s. I remember my favorite bed spread my mom made with green branches and orange butterfly print and with curtains to match. I also remember the more embarrassing decorating experiment when I was a teenager in the 80s. My sister and I had a red high heal pump phone and decided to decorate our room with the colors black and red and had a poster of C. Thomas Howell hanging on the wall.
As an adult, I experimented with shabby chic, pottery barn-like and vintage design, but ultimately found out by trial and error that I absolutely love modern and scandinavian design. Finding my own design style not only came out of a lot of experimenting, it also came out of studying Feng Shui. This led to the discovery of the beautiful partnership modern design shares with minimalist design, which is an integral part of Feng Shui. The creative expression comes from the design but the healthy outlet comes from uncluttered space and free flowing chi energy. My absolutely favorite book that got me motivated and started is: “Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui“ by Karen Kingston. I am a visual person, which is why I would like to share with you the product of my minimalist design and Feng Shui inspired home environment.
